Intramuscular injections can be performed in the deltoid and intradermal injection positions of the upper arm. The soft, realistic skin and natural bony landmarks in this area are more favorable for intramuscular injections. Intradermal injections are performed using distilled water, and the characteristic skin blocks appear at the designated locations on the upper arm.
■The model is very realistic. Soft, flexible fingers give attention to every detail, even fingerprints can be seen. The wrist can be flexed to help students relate to pushing skills. Skin is replaceable and feels like touching real skin when performing dispositions. There is a noticeable drop sensation when performing venipuncture. The model is made of casts that realistically reproduce every detail of the skin, thus making the arm look as if it were real. Vein valves can be observed and are palpable on the skin surface.
■The simulated blood vessels and skin can be completely replaced, making the arm training model look as good as new. Hundreds of injection operations can be performed under normal use. A complete replacement kit is available for easy use.
